Thank you for an epic 2018 Crawfish Boil!

What a success!

The crawfish boil was an unforgettable event! With beautiful weather, a slight breeze, and two pots of crawfish cooking at the same time, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

But then it did get better, with every person that came by! From as far away as Denver, CO to as nearby as the Smith Family Reunion at the adjacent pavilion, over 180 new friends and kids of all ages joined us this year. We couldn't have done this without you guys. Thanks for an epic event!

ONE great community supporting Orenda Miami and the CHANCE Program

What our Crawfish Boil is really about

This is our Mission

At Orenda Miami, our mission is to partner with the community to empower and inspire disadvantaged youth. Our events, such as the crawfish boil on April 28th, help to fund programs like CHANCE to help rescue, rehabilitate, and shelter youth trafficked or otherwise exploited in Miami.

The Citrus Helping Adolescents Negatively Impacted by Commercial Exploitation (CHANCE) Program is a Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care and Community Response Team for victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation. CHANCE addresses the emotional and behavioral issues in the home, school, and community environments for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation.

Every ticket sold to the Crawfish Boil, will help fund this mission.

We thank you for your support.

  • Commercial  Sexual  Exploitation  of  Children (CSEC)  is  a  form  of  child  abuse.  It happens when individuals buy, trade, or sell sexual acts with a child under the age of 18.
  • Children  in  The  CHANCE  Program  receive individualized  clinical  treatment  primarily  centered  around  Trauma-Focused  Care, Cognitive  Behavioral  Treatment  and motivational interviewing.
  • Citrus  Health  Network  provides  prospective  foster  parents  with  required  trainings  for licensing, and additional trainings for specialized therapeutic foster care for CSEC victims.
  • Any child  in  the  community  who  has been a victim of CSEC can receive services from The CHANCE Program, even if they are  not  in  a  Specialized  Therapeutic Foster Home.
